I've had a few muscle stains lately and a lot of people have been telling me to back off, so I did a little bit. Last week I ran a lot less than normal. I was trying for 14-16 today but decided 12.02 was good and did it in an 8:08/mile pace. Had a few traffic delays on my run and a drastic temp changes from last weekend. It's February weather once again and more frozen hair.

A pretty decent run today. I was going for relaxed and a slower pace. I turned in 10.43 miles at an 8:04/mile pace. I had a few delays on my journey, just traffic. My first two miles came in around 8:20ish and I was a little sore, but after mile four I was feeling a lot more comfortable. Getting ready for the Ann Arbor Marathon in March and I will make headway towards my goal. So recap, I did 5 runs this week and reached 26.3 miles, so glad the weather is making a positive turn.
I've had three outstanding runs in three days. My latest was not long, but fast (for me), and in the end it felt pretty good. Last night was a brisk 6.74 at a 7:34/mile pace. I'll take that. Going for 16 on Saturday as well. A 'relaxed' 16...
I'm really looking forward to the release of the Amy Gamble's memoir on being an Olympic athlete and a spokes person for those challenged with bi-polar. Just click on the image below for more information. I believe she is looking at a May release, but stay tuned!
