The last two long runs could not be more opposite. One on October 1st was really really rough, just complete pain once I ventured beyond miles 8 and was a 16 mile run. I needed to regroup. The run I wrapped up yesterday found me in better sprites and somewhat better shape physically. I pulled off a PR for 13.1 at 1:46:36 and I'll take that. Somehow I knocked off three and a half minutes from my previous PR set three weeks earlier. I am having knee issues and the expected blisters. Next week in the dreaded 20 mile run, but I just need to put one foot in front of the other... repeat as needed.
