Long overdue and a BQ

So yeah, I've not been updating this site, but I have been running and knocking off marathons. That being said I'm happy to report that 3-weeks ago today I finally BQ'd and will be running in Boston in 2025! You're probably wondering 'what took you so long to update your blog?', well it's pretty simple, I'm still in various levels of disbelief. 

At times it feels like it has happened, and at others still like a distant dream. I will say that it's slowly settling in and the feeling is amazing. All it took was 8 years, 31 marathons, and over 10K miles of running. I achieved the dream at The Light at the End of the Tunnel marathon in North Bend Washington. I had participated in this run two years before and had a heartbreaking PR, but no BQ. This time my training was in a great spot and my attitude was positive, and I let my legs and heart to do rest. I have several marathons lined up before Boston in 2025... and typing that feels amazing. Still can't believe I pulled this off. Official time, 3:15:41, a 9 minute 19 second buffer. ​
